Dirtcaps was lately seen in Japan performing in front of the crowd and is making big steps performing for Defqon.1 Festival, Tomorrowland, Tomorrowworld or releasing tracks from Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings and Yellow Claw’s Barong Family. They have recently released their EP and wanted to reach out to their Japanese fans with this interview.

Q1. Congratulations on your "El Fuego EP II" release. Can you tell us more about it?

Thanks! we are really happy to release this EP.  We really like Moombahton & Dancehall as genres and always try to push the boundaries within this genre. For this EP we did collabs with Mightyfools and Gianni Marino which both turned out really dope!

Q2. How has your Summer been so far?

It’s a crazy summer so far! We do a lot of really cool festivals and clubshows all around the world. In the early summer we went to Asia a few times and now we are spending a lot of time around Europe. After the summer we come back to Asia and America to do some big tours!

Q3. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your sets and why?

We obviously play all the tracks from the new EP and next to the EP we play a lot of new Dirtcaps music and old Dirtcaps tracks. A must in our set is our collab with Coone “Sniper” and our remix for Hardwell & W&W “Don’t stop the Madness”.

Q4. Can you pick 1 or 2 of your favourite dance artists at the moment?

Laidback Luke is and always will be one of our favourite artist ever. He’s an amazing person who makes amazing music. Next to Luke we have the same feeling with Skrillex. 2 iconic dance artists who we look up to a lot.

Q5. Are there any artists in particular you would love to collab with next time?

It would be really dope to have a collab with Flosstradamus in the future…

Q6. What was your first impression of Japan? What was the most surprising or impressive experience? Something within your expectation?

We saw a lot of the world, but Japanese people are something else. So Kind, Humble and Friendly. It was the same during our show. The fans knew every song and danced like there was no tomorrow. We really loved to play in Japan and hope to come back very soon.

Q7. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

We can’t wait to come back and party with you guys. We never felt so welcome in a country as in Japan and hope to see you really soon!

Dirtcaps answered the last few questions with a smile on their faces wanting to come back to Japan very soon and see their fans again. 2018 will be their 10th year as Dirtcaps and we hear their names more and more every day. They have made a great impression with their huge banger “Money on My Mind” and continues to make their steps towards to the top. Give their new EP “El Fuego EP II” a spin and their upcoming tracks.
