Q1. Congratulations on your "One On One featuring Sorana" release. Can you tell us more about it?
Thank you! The track has been getting an amazing response, we put the video up on YouTube and it hit 1,000,000 views in 24 hours! About the record, I wanted to take my signature sound and push myself to create more of a song rather than just a club track. I really loved the process and I am planning to do this more in the future. There will be plenty of new music from me soon…
Q2. How is your 2017 so far?
I have had an amazing year so far which included a huge tour across Asia, Australia and a couple of shows in Europe. I have had a packed touring schedule and I have got some amazing festivals coming up including Tomorrowland in Belgium.
Q3. Which track would be your favourite from your work and what inspired you to produce that track?
My track Booty Bounce was a huge hit and became a real favourite of mine. I guess I’m always inspired to try new things and with that record I just wanted to make something that would get the party started! I didn’t realize it would become so big, we even had Taio Cruz jump on and make an incredible vocal version which went on to be huge all over the radio. It was an unexpected success, but definitely a big moment in my career.
Q4. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your sets and why?
I’ve been playing Major Lazer & AutoErotique - The Sound in my sets a lot recently. I love this one, and it’s great to have something more club based from Major Lazer to play. I always like to drop in acapellas and new edits in my sets too. I like to keep things interesting and I have a big stash of my own mash ups to play so that my DJ set doesn’t sound like everyone else out there.
Q5. Are there any artists in particular you would love to collab with this year?
I could tell you, but then it wouldn’t be a surprise when we release the track! I definitely have some cool collabs lined up, so keep an eye and an ear out…
Q6. What are your plans for the Summer?
I have loads of shows coming up, some amazing festivals to play at and lots more new music for you guys. Really hoping to catch some of you guys at a show sometime soon!
