He is seen in top festivals such as Ultra Music Festival, Pacha, Tomorrowland and also receives endless booking requests from legendary clubs ranked in DJ MAG TOP 100 CLUBS year after year. One of the players having no time for sleep but doing shows and producing for his fans has given us some words about his new release and upcoming schedules.

Q1 We heard you will be releasing his new single ‘Paper Roses’ ft. Melody Roses on Friday April 7. Can you tell us more about your new track?

This is a new track that I released on Spinnin Records and it shows a different side of me, more of a pop song than my previous releases. It’s a collaboration with Los Angeles singer, Melody Noel, and I’ve very happy with the end result. “Paper Roses” is a happy, summer vibe, and I hope it does well.

Q2 How is your 2017 so far?

2017 has been great, I’ve travelled and played a lot so far, Asia, USA, Europe, and I’ve been performing at a lot of good festivals, so I can only hope for a big, big summer as there are very good events ahead. Very excited about the future!

Q3 Which track would be your favourite from your work and what inspired you to produce that track?

My favorite track is “Calavera”, a collab with Hardwell. It’s a track that we worked on in 2015 and was released in 2016, and it’s still being played. It has a had a long life and got to number one on Beatport’s Top100 main chart, it has 6 million plays both on YouTube and Spotify, I’m very happy not only with the track’s performance but also because it was made with Robbert.

Q4 Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your sets and why?

“Mad Men” a collaboration I did with Laidback Luke, and that I use to end my sets on a high energy note. Also my new track, “Bangalore”, coming out on May 1st through Revealed Recordings, I’ve been playing it for the last two months and it just rocks the crowd. Very happy it’s being released soon!

Q5 What would Japanese fans be surprised to learn about you?

I don’t think it will be a surprise but that I’m a real sushi lover! I love Japan, it’s a country I feel at home in and that inspires me to make music.

Q6 Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

Thank you for the support! I’ve had an amazing time in Japan every single time, I love the fans showing up with the cardboard signs, how welcome they make me feel and how they feedback in social media regularly. I hope to come back really soon!

KURA was seen headlining couple of shows in Japan as well and made the crowd go insane with his handsome looks and exceptional talent. He is seen touring frequently in Europe and North America but recently started to enter the Asian marketing starting from Japan, China, Singapore, Vietnam, India and Thailand getting more people involved in his music and absorbing new inspirations. KURA continues to stay modest despite his world ranking of #51 on DJ MAG TOP 100 DJs 2016 but at the same time is motivated and eager to absorb more from the scene eventually reaching him higher in the coming years.
