Quintino ranked #32 in DJ MAG TOP 100 DJs 2016 just had a show at ELE TOKYO on May 4th and NERVO ranked #45 have also made the crowd go wild last year in Japan. Both top players have collaborated on their new release from Spinnin' Records "Lost In You". Since they are a great fan of Japan, they have conducted our exclusive interview and talked the story behind their new release and their upcoming summer schedules.

Q1. Congratulations on your " Lost In You " release. Can you tell us a bit about it?

<Quintino> I've known the girls for such a long time now. We are really good friends and we’ve played at the same festivals and venues a lot of time, where we always end up on stage together having such a great time. From the day we became friends we always wanted to work together and now we finally have 'Lost in You'. It was a real pleasure working with the girls. Because we know each other so well, we were on the same page with the track from the start.

<NERVO>Thanks! We have been friends with Quintino for so long and have always spoken about working together. It’s great that we finally did it! The song is about heartbreak, about unrequited love. The tempo is quite slow for our sets but we are hoping people who like slower electronic music will like it.

Q2. How is your 2017 so far? What’s your summer plan?

<Quintino>So far it has been really good! I have been doing so many amazing shows. I also just bought a new studio and office space, and we are almost finished with the construction. This new studio means more music than ever, so I am really excited for that. For this summer I just finished the new 'GO HARDER EP' which will be released in the next couple months. I am also working on some huge collabs, which I can’t reveal yet. I'm working on my show, there will be new visuals for example. And last but not least, I'm hoping to finalize my new merchandize line this summer. So a lot of exciting things can be expected from me!

<NERVO>2017 has been crazy already! We spent the first half of January touring and after that we took a few months off to make music and spend time with our family in Australia. We have been touring pretty full on since late March, starting with #NERVONation in Miami and Ultra at Miami Music Week, to Lollapalooza across South America, to #NERVOnation in the mountains in Solden, Austria. We are working 7 days a week because when we are not touring we are making music or catching up on emails or doing press shots. There’s always so much to do and so little time!

Q3. Which track would be your favourite from your work and what inspired you to produce that track?
<NERVO>Our tastes are constantly changing and we find the most recent track we are working on is always the track we like the best so that being said, we are really excited about the music that we are working on right now! I think our favourite track in the past is probably 'Like Home' or 'You’re Gonna Love Again' as our fans still sing along to them today which is an incredible feeling. We are constantly being inspired by what we hear in clubs, on the radio, on spotify and just general every day life. Lyric wise, we are inspired by real life. Our songs are like our diary entries!

<Quintino>I have to say ‘EPIC’ is still one of my favorites. Sandro and myself were just trying out new stuff and at one point we thought this is it!

Q4. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your sets and why?

<NERVO>‘Like Home’ - because our fans expect to hear it, and 'Haute Mess’ - because it’s a cheeky club track with a drop that just works.

<Quintino>I almost always play ‘EPIC’ and ‘Baldadig’. I’ve mashed up ‘EPIC’ with a different break so it really drops as a surprise and people still go crazy when they hear it now. My collab with Hardwell is also one of my must plays. The crowd always goes insane when they hear it.

Q5. What would Japanese fans be surprised to learn about you?

<Quintino>For some reason I always like to have fresh socks so I only wear them once… haha.

<NERVO>We are good chefs! We love to eat and love to cook. We don’t get a lot of time to cook food these days but one of our favorite past times is going to markets or supermarkets and buying lots of ingredients to cook up a feast.

Q6. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.
<Quintino>Thank you for always bringing the crazy energy to the shows and hope to see you soon at one of my shows in Japan!

<NERVO>We are so chuffed at the support Japan has shown us over the years and want to thank you all. We love your country and hope to keep visiting it!

A collaboration between Quintino who is leading the Dutch Dance Music and a twin sister duo NERVO had created a buzz even before the release of "Lost In You" since their great influence in the scene. Since they love their Japanese fans, they heavily appreciate the fact that they can expose this interview on our platform and promote their new release. Stay tuned to their future plans and especially during the festival seasons.
