On March 11th, the resident DJ of Tomorrowland, Yves V landed in Sound Museum Vision, Tokyo. Yves V has first entered DJ MAG TOP 100 DJs in 2014, and now ranked as #62 and he is reaching higher and higher. The Top DJ talked about his feelings towards Japan and his fans out here as well as his near future plans.

Q1. How does it feel to be back in Japan again? Any special feelings coming back?

I always have fun playing in Japan and I enjoy visiting cities like Tokyo. It’s good to experience the culture and all the different things that come along with it and for that, Japan is one of my favourite places.

Q2. How do you feel about your show at Sound Museum Vision?

I’m excited! Ready to get the crowd pumped and I have some new edits I’m working on to test out, Tokyo feels like the perfect.

Q3. How do you feel about Japanese crowds?

They are getting more relaxed! I think since the dancing ban has been lifted, people can be more free, party and have fun without a worry. That’s what music should be able to do, unite us all on the dancefloor.

Q4. Last time you were in Tokyo, you mentioned visiting Meiji Temple and maid café, do you have any special plans this time?

Haha, yes I did! And the robot café! I think it would be fun to go back to there. And Karaoke, always so fun in Tokyo!

Q5. Which track would be your favourite from your work and what inspired you to produce that track?

It’s too difficult to pick one! I would say ‘Cloudbreaker’ because that was the track that “broke” me through to a wider audience. ‘Oldschool Sound’ with Chuckie was fun too, we inspired each other.

Q6. What can we expect from you in 2017?

A lot more shows and productions coming this year! I’ve just released ‘Find Your Soul’ on Spinnin’ that has been sounding huge in my sets for quite a few months now, so I’m glad everyone can finally hear it! I’m also taking my V Sessions party back to Tomorrowland with its own arena, last year was so much fun and this year is going to be bigger and better! I’m also off to Miami for Music Week again later this month playing at Doorn’s pool party and the Protocol parties, so will be good to see some friends and have fun in the busy city. This is just the beginning!

A Top DJ participating in world's biggest festivals and hearing his passion towards Japan is priceless. Yves V creates a buzz with every release he makes and after his show at Sound Museum Vision, he talked to us saying "Japan is amazing and would love to come back again". He will continue to create a buzz in the scene with his releases and performances. Hope to see him go higher in the DJ MAG TOP 100 DJs next year.
