He has also caught the attention by Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Nicky Romero, W&W, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Steve Aoki, Tritonal, The Chainsmokers and many more by his work and he continues to grow bigger. Let us share the exclusive interview with the German Hope, Cuebrick.

Q1. We heard your new remix for Tritonal is stored for 2017. Can you tell us more about this exciting project ?

I’m releasing music on their label „Enhanced Recordings“ since 2015. I’m really proud to be part of this label and felt even more honored, after Tritonal asked me to remix their track „Hung Up“. As the original is very deep & soft I tried to give it a little bit more drive without taking the „poppy“ touch away. Looking really forward to this release!

Q2. How was 2016 for you? You played all major festivals in and around Germany. Which experience was the best for you?

2016 was really great. I played festivals like Nature One, Mayday, Parookaville or Electric Love. It’s really difficult to say, wich was the best experience, but perhaps it was Mayday. Just because it’s something like the mother of all raves. It was the 25th anniversary of Mayday & that’s what it made so special for me. To play a event, wich has such a long & bright history.

Q3. How was your collaboration with Tritonal like ? It seemed to be one of your most successful tracks in 2016! Tell us a bit more about the idea.

Yep, this was really my most successful track in 2016. But it was not planned or anything. I watched the European football tournaments and saw this „Viking Clap“ by the Iceland soccer team. I always wondered why nobody did a track out of it so I decided to do it on my own. I made a draft and sent it to Tritonal. They loved the idea and we finished it together. Boom… here it was! The track works so well that I normally play it at every show ;)

Q4. As one of the most respected and supported upcoming producers out there at the moment. What is the most important thing for you when producing music? Where does the inspiration comes from ?

Oh, that’s a difficult question. I think the best inspiration is to hear a lot of music. Not only dance music. I listen to a lot of different styles every day. I think there the most inspiration comes from. A famous German Rapper said: If you do Hip Hop & only listen to Hip Hop you’re doing incest. Perhaps he’s right ;)

Q5. What else is coming up next for you in 2017? Any plans on the musical site ?

Doing a lot of new music. I’m very productive in the studio right now. I try to evolve my style a bit and do a lot of experiments in other BPM ranges etc. without loosing my signature. So you can be excited what’s coming next.

Q6. What do you personally consider the most important moment in your career until now?

When I made my first holiday job as a sixteen year old student. From this money I bought my first turntables. That’s when it all started.

Q7. Who or what had the most musical influence to you ?

I think the early „Progressive House“ wave with acts like Deadmau5, Axwell & etc. That’s when i fell in love with vocals, melodies & the whole feeling this music can create.

Q8. What is DJ Mag to you as a DJ and producer ?

One of the most important media in the scene to stay up to date!

Q9. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

Hey guys, love you all & hope to come to Japan really soon! Keep being awesome ;)
