A DJ/Producer who has played over 100 gigs and shows all around the world and the shouts from the crowds at big festivals like Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, Time Warp, WorldClubDome, MELT! Festival doesn't seem to stop… Alle Farben released his first album “Synesthesia” in 2014. The album was nominated as the “Best Album” in ECHO Awards 2015, kick starting a career with excellent boost. The track “She Moves” in the album has recorded over 18 million plays on Youtube and he is another DJ/Producer to be focused on. Let’s see what he has to say to us in our exclusive interview.

Q1. We heard the acoustic version of ‘Bad Ideas’. Could you tell us more about it?

The song was actually written in a session I hosted. I invite people over to write songs for Alle Farben every summer. Chris Gelbuda who sings the song was surprised how much I liked his voice because he thinks he is not that much of a singer but I loved his voice.

Q2. What was the best experience of 2016? What is your resolution for 2017?

I had a beautiful 2016. Especially the summer festivals, which were amazing. I played so many shows and a lot of them were even bigger than the year before. That was my highlight.

My resolution for 2017 is to keep on working on tracks so I can release my third album in autumn and to have another great festival season.

Q3. Where do you get the inspiration from when producing music?

There are many things that inspire me like travelling for example. I really love to experience different cultures. To turn those impressions into music it is important to have free time as well. I need to calm down and relax to be creative.

Q4. You are in Thailand at the moment, I know you have played a few shows there but are you doing anything else while you are there?

I have been coming to Thailand for a couple of years now. I made friends here that I love to visit. Some German friends come over, too. You are right, I tour a little bit and play shows while I am here, but I see it more like a bonus. Over here my gigs are less stressful. Apart from that I work on ideas and this year I have actually rented a studio to work on tracks while I am in Thailand. That is beautiful.

Q5. Since DJ Mag started to vote "Top 100 Clubs", I want to ask you what are your favorite clubs and why?

It is hard to tell my favorites but here are three that came to my mind just then.

Bootshaus, Cologne, Germany – This venue is kind of big but as a DJ you are still close to the crowd because the dancefloor is like a bowl. I really love to play there.

Tofffler, Utrecht, Netherlands – This club is special. The size of the dance floor does adjust to the amount of people that are in at the time. This is cool for the DJ and the audience, too.

Berghain, Berlin, Germany – I guess I do not need to say too much about the Berghain. It is so popular. I go there if I have a night off and want to party myself.

Q6. What’s coming up next for you in early 2017?

I just finished my upcoming song called LITTLE HOLLYWOOD. I will release it along with a compilation that features many songs I love to play at my shows.

Other than that I am going on a USa tour which I am looking forward to.

Q7. What is DJ Mag to you as a DJ and producer?

DJ Mag is all around me. DJs talk about it all the time. It is funny but DJ Mag is something everyone actually does have an opinion on.

I am always curious to see the charts to find out which DJs are trending.

Q8. Do you have anything you want to say in particular or want to promote?

I have not played in Japan yet and that is really something I want to do.

I have been to Japan once. I was on vacation and I liked it a lot. That is why I want to promote myself to the Japanese Promoters

Q9. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

I want to say a big ‘HI’ to all my fans in Japan. It is very special to me to have fans in a country that I never played in. You guys are amazing and I hope we get to party together sometime soon.

That will be fun!

Alle Farben continues to reach out to greater fans year after year and earns support from his fans and people in the scene. After the great boom of his first album, he did it once again with his second album “Music Is My Best Friend”, releasing from SME International, B1 and Ultra. His new track “Bad Ideas” is played over 20,000 times every day on Spotify and was ranked in Germany’s Single Sales Chart #9 and #2 in German airplay chart. Let’s see how his 3rd album is going to perform in autumn and we hope to see the picture of him rocking the Japanese crowds very soon.
