Martin Garrix has spoken about his mistake whilst performing at EDC Las Vegas, which saw him cut the sound in error.

Speaking at the iHeartRadio Fest recently, Garrix said, “Every performer’s had a moment on stage where they thought, ‘Oh, I shouldn’t have done that.’ But they’re the things you learn from, and in the future there’s a smaller chance of it happening again because you’re more careful.

“I was at EDC Las Vegas this year and the song was building towards the drop. I wanted to add a vocal, but I loaded it on the playing CDJ, so the music cut out in front of 60,000 people. “I looked at the crowd, [it was] complete silence.

I grabbed the mic and said, ‘Sorry guys I messed up.’ It’s funny when I watch the video back now though.

And at least they know I’m performing live.” Garrix played Ultra Japan at the Tokyo Odaiba Ultra Park earlier this month, which had a huge line-up that boasted Deadmau5, Dubfire, DJ Snake, Tiësto and many more. That was before Marshmello premiered a brand new remix of Garrix’s ‘Oops’ at Ultra Singapore.

The Dutch teen also unveiled new track 'In The Name Of Love' in July.

It was the first official track from Garrix after signing a landmark deal with Sony Music International, which saw him set-up his new imprint STMPD, with the backing of the major label.
