Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it.
The song came about in London. We had an idea to make a positive and danceable song that has a lot of emotions to it. This song is created around the vocals. We produced a couple of different versions, one deep house and a disco version, but after some time tweaking with sounds we came up with this piano progression and we felt YEAH this is cool! We love UK house so I think we got a lot of inspiration from London as well. We have been working with Twiggy on a few releases before, last time was on our ‘Ibiza’ track. We have such a great workflow when we are in the studio together.
Q2. How is this track special compare to other tracks you’ve released throughout the career?
This one is designed both for the club and the radio we would say. The structure of the song is a bit different compared to our previous releases. On ‘Closer Love’ we got a full vocal structure, both in the verse and in the chorus. We really wanted to keep it clubby but at thee same time add a pop feeling to it.
Q3. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your recent sets and why?
Fedde Le Grand - All Over the World
We love this song it has such a great vibe to it and the vocal samples are massive. Lots of energy so it’s a perfect track for the dance floor.
Anton Powers & Redondo - Make Your Move
A very nice disco/EDM song. Perfect in the club as well as on the radio. We like those type of sounds they have chosen, very funky and catchy. The original track from Junior Jack - Stupidisco is actually one of our favorite dance anthems ever!
Q4. What do you feel has been your biggest achievement?
Well, we have had a couple of cool moments we are really happy about. Obviously one was in February when we reached number 5 on the Music Week Upfront Club Chart. We felt honored to receive such good support from DJs and Radio within the UK.
Another big achievement for us was to receive great support from global DJs like Oliver Heldens, Don Diablo, Lost Frequencies and Sick Individuals. When a music influencer like a great DJ or a radio host are playing our music, that’s a great indication that we are producing songs people like, which we really appreciate!
Q5. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.
Much love for the support so far! Right now we’re working on a VIP MIX of ‘Closer Love’. Can’t say anymore yet but it’s very coming soon! We are working an a EP as well, actually we have been working on it for a while now. Also our monthly radio show ‘Electronic Heaven’ is now available on iTunes podcaster and Google podcast.
