Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it.

I wanted to make something that would serve as identity for my deejay project. When I heard that one of my friends was gonna do a live set I wanted to immediately send him something lit and exclusive, so I made Calibra in an evening, sitting on my couch in Paris. The inspiration was a mix of deejays I admire like Diplo, and my moths I had just spent in Miami working as a producer on some latin artists singles.

Q2. How is this track special compared to other tracks you’ve released throughout the career?

Calibra is nothing like I have released in the past, because it's very much a DJ song. It was made for a dj set, and crazy clubbing nights.

I haven't released much music under my name in the past. I have spent lots of years focusing on other things, and later producing for artists. I have recently restarted putting focus on my solo project and will soon announce more details on my duo project with my friend Sky Rompiendo.

Q3. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your recent sets and why?

I cannot pick just 2, impossible, I am currently obsessed by 4 songs. "Bola Rebola" by Tropkillaz, J Balvin, Anitta and MC Zaac, this song has all the cool elements I love in a dj set and anything Anitta and Balvin touch turns out golden. "I can't get enough" by Benny Blanco, Tainy, Selena Gomez and J Balvin, this is the debut song for my bro Tainy and it's a bomb. "Jealousy" by Michael Brun because it's the perfect afro beats for a festival and he pushes music from Haiti. Last but not least  "Signals" by my bro Todiefor, a guy from Belgium, and it's a pefect house and latin mix.

Q4. What do you feel has been your biggest achievement?

One week after the release of Calibra, I got to do a 1h mix for Diplo & Friends on BBC Radio 1. It was two dreams in one, being on BBC radio 1 and on Diplo and Friends with my own mix. I am currently also working on a lot of latin acts, co producing and writing music for latin big names like J Balvin. I am stoked and very humbled for this opportunity along so many awesome producers and friends like Sky, Tainy and Diplo.

Q5. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

Dear Japan, I really hope I can come over and show you some Dee Mad vibes. You are a beautiful and interesting country and I hope we get to know each other well soon

Please keep in touch on social medias and tag any good club or festival I should play at ;-)
